Mel 'n' Omi: a close-up

Lunch was in Banska.

It was raining, but a quick stroll on the market square seemed in order nonetheless.

The meals seem to have a small amount of a large number of vegetables served with them. Like the bowl you see to right of us is filled with probably 7 or 8 different vegetables as well as a small amount of 5 or 6 more on our plates. The little brown - fried - patties on our plates are actually cheeses.

We were actually in a huge square in the middle of their town where we walked after the traditional cheese lunch. The archetechture is incredible. A lot timbers and stone are used and stucco. Can't imagine a US built building standing for a 1000 years as some of these have.
